Knowingly spreading HIV

This subject is one which I find so completely abhorrent, and yet I feel it necessary for it to be aired.

What kind of person, knowing that they are HIV positive, delberately and systematically goes about trying to infect as many others as possible with the virus.

Personally I have known a number of friends who have died from this illness.

Education Revolution

(This is a guest post by Tracie of FNQ)

Ok everyone I am starting to feel slightly less relaxed and comfortable about some aspects of the Govt’s  ‘Education Revolution’, notably what seems like unseemly haste on the part of our Minister for Education, Julia Gillard, to introduce reforms to our education system, based on the New York Dept of Education model.

Mi Mi Mi Midweek Mayhem…

Sorry about the stutter.

Welcome to midweek mayhem, the place where we get to talk about anything and everything – now with a new and improved responsible drinking policy.

A new OECD report has been issued today, with some good news – Australia is tipped to avoid recession and be one of the few developed nations to experience a moderate growth of 1.7% next year, as well as some bad news – house prices are expected to fall sharply.

(Although I guess that could be good news if you’re a first home buyer).

In Labor’s new IR laws, they have announced that the “three warnings and you’re fired” rule will be reduced to “one warning and you’re fired”.

Oh, and the new X-Files movie is out on DVD today..

BTW, if anyone wants a laugh, check out Ross Sharp’s Smelly Tongues blog..
